This 2-week itinerary from Casablanca takes you on a complete journey through Morocco’s most iconic destinations, combining imperial cities, the Sahara Desert, mountain landscapes, and the Atlantic Coast. Travel through Rabat, Chefchaouen, and Fes, experience a camel trek and desert camp in Merzouga, cross dramatic valleys and ancient kasbah routes, explore vibrant Marrakech, and relax in the coastal town of Essaouira before returning to Casablanca.

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be welcomed at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed walk along the Corniche or rest after your journey. Casablanca sets the tone as Morocco’s modern economic hub.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast, visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Continue north to Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Explore the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Overnight in Rabat.

Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen

Travel north through green landscapes toward the Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City. Spend the afternoon wandering through its blue-painted streets, small squares, and artisan shops. The relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for photography and slow exploration.

Day 4: Chefchaouen – Fes

Leave Chefchaouen and drive south to Fes. Upon arrival, enjoy free time to relax in your riad or take a first walk in the old medina. Fes is considered the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Fes

Today, discover Fes with a licensed local guide. Visit the Royal Palace gates, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and the ancient medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Al Quaraouiyine University, traditional tanneries, and artisan workshops hidden within narrow alleys.

Day 6: Fes – Middle Atlas – Merzouga

Day 7: Merzouga Desert Experience

Start the day with a sunrise over the dunes. Explore the desert region by 4×4, visiting nomad families and the village of Khamlia, known for Gnawa music. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek into the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp with dinner and music under the stars.

Day 8: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Leave the desert and travel toward Todra Gorge, famous for its towering canyon walls. Enjoy a walk along the river before continuing to the Dades Valley. The route offers dramatic rock formations and scenic viewpoints.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic filming location. After exploring the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

Day 11: Guided Tour of Marrakech

Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira
