Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Marrakech. After settling into your riad, enjoy a relaxed photography walk inside the old medina. This first afternoon is perfect for warming up your camera as you capture the lively atmosphere of the souks, colorful spices, traditional artisans, and busy market streets. As the sun sets, head toward Jemaa el-Fna square, where performers, storytellers, and food stalls create a magical golden-hour scene. The rooftop cafés around the square offer beautiful angles for sunset and blue-hour photography, giving you an exciting introduction to Moroccan culture and its warm city life.

After breakfast, drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. This route offers dramatic landscapes, Berber villages perched on hillsides, and panoramic viewpoints ideal for landscape photography. Continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah famous for its ancient architecture and cinematic beauty. Here, you can capture mud-brick walls, ksars, and oasis views from different angles. In the afternoon, follow the palm-filled Draa Valley to Agdz, stopping at traditional ksour and viewpoints along the way. Continue to the village of M’hamid at the edge of the desert, where your 4×4 adventure begins. The off-road journey to Erg Chigaga offers incredible photo opportunities, from the hammada stone deserts to smooth golden dunes. This entire day is dedicated to photography and exploring the essence of nomadic life. Start with a sunrise session on the dunes, where soft morning light creates beautiful contrasts and textures. After breakfast, take a camel ride for unique perspectives of silhouettes, footprints, and desert horizons. Later, visit a nomad family living in traditional tents to experience their lifestyle and document authentic daily moments—tea brewing, herding animals, and storytelling. In the afternoon, explore the remote dunes and landscapes around Iriki for minimalistic desert compositions. End your day with a spectacular sunset followed by a night dedicated to astrophotography under the Milky Way.

Wake up early for a final sunrise session in the Sahara before driving across the vast landscapes of Lake Iriki and the rocky desert toward Foum Zguid. These untouched areas offer powerful images of isolation and desert wilderness. Continue to Taznakht, a Berber town famous for its handmade carpets—a great opportunity for photographing textures and artisan work. In the afternoon, arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the film capital of Morocco. After breakfast, return to Marrakech through the stunning Ounila Valley, one of Morocco’s most photogenic landscapes. Stop at the historic Telouet Kasbah, once home to the Glaoui family. Its mix of ruins, zellij tiles, and traditional carvings makes it a dream location for interior and architectural photography. Continue driving through the High Atlas, with multiple opportunities for mountain and village shots along the way. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening capturing any remaining images, from charming alleys to illuminated riads.

Depending on your flight schedule, spend your final morning exploring Marrakech at your own pace. You can visit Majorelle Garden for vibrant architecture and botanical photography or wander through the quieter parts of the medina to capture doors, hidden streets, and daily life scenes. When it’s time, you will be transferred to Marrakech Airport with memory cards full of unforgettable images from the Sahara and nomadic world.
